About Department of Sociology

Three years after the establishment of the College of Education in Janzour, the Department of Sociology was established in the academic year 2007/2008 AD, and studies began with a huge number of students. In the first year, the number was 203, and the number of students enrolled in this department increased until it reached 339 in the academic year 2008/2009 AD, and the number increased.  Until it reached 404 in the academic year 2015/2016 AD. Thus, the Department of Sociology has begun to exercise its duties in preparing graduates specialized in the social sciences and qualified - in the teaching profession - and is trying hard to contribute in the fields of scientific research, community awareness, organizational and administrative consultation, and other media, intellectual and heritage activities.  .
