Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon the Master of the Prophets and Messengers, and upon all his family and companions. Then: I welcome you to the Department of Fundamentals of Religion at the Faculty of Sharia Sciences - Souq Al-Jumaa at the University of Tripoli, as we are happy to have our students in the midst of this welcoming view, as this department accompanied the establishment of our university. Since its establishment, Al-Gharaa has been one of the scientific edifices and streams of knowledge that seeks to serve students and researchers according to the scientific programs approved by the Educational Institutions Accreditation Commission, and this specialization will provide the nation with groups of competent graduates.
The ideal goal of the Fundamentals of Religion Department is to provide students with knowledge related to the Fundamentals of Religion by the best available means. The department includes a group of professors and academics who seek to build the students’ personality intellectually and culturally, by building their research personality from a pure scientific perspective, and establishing the love of Islamic science in their consciences.
The department includes bachelor's and master's programs that are concerned with educating students in Islamic law and providing them with diverse knowledge of interpretation, hadith, and doctrine. Starting from the heritage of the glorious past and the changes of the new present, in an authentic fusion between authenticity and modernity to refine souls and minds and advance them scientifically, cognitively, and values.
In conclusion, we ask God Almighty to make our work sincere for His sake, and to benefit everyone in serving the language of the Noble Qur’an and the Noble Hadith, and to make us servants of His Noble Religion.

Habilitation of cadres of science students and researchers in the science of the hadith of the Prophet, carrying the sound Islamic faith, to be torches of light and guidance
Mission
Habilitation scientific and research qualification in hadith and its sciences by providing a stimulating scientific environment.
Objectives
- Graduating Islamic cadres who are insightful about their religion, aware of their civilization, and familiar with the culture of the era.
- Contribute to the dissemination of Islamic culture derived from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
- Preparing preachers and preachers according to the moderate Islamic approach, far from extremism and extremism.
- Qualifying specialists in scientific research skills in the sciences of the hadith of the Prophet to actively participate in caring for the honorable Sunnah and serving the local and global community.
- Activating the role of the noble hadith as the second source of Islamic legislation in correct behavior and a sound scientific approach.
Tasks
Among the tasks of the Department of Islamic Doctrine and Thought are:
Graduating competent students specialized in the Islamic faith, the Prophet’s hadith, interpretation, and Islamic thought
Demonstrating the superiority and distinction of Islam over intellectual doctrines and ideologies in all matters of life and demonstrating its ability to lead them in the face of the failure of those doctrines and ideologies.
Developing students’ skills in the field of scientific research and editing manuscripts in a solid scientific manner.
