Word Of the Head Therapeutic Radiology Department
The Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology is the newest department in the College of Medical Technology. It was founded in 2019 AD with the goal of
graduating qualified cadres with training and knowledge in the use of radioactive techniques and materials for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases
The department's study system was set up in accordance with the College of Medical Technology's curriculum so that students would complete the general stage courses
in the first stage, which lasts for two semesters, before moving on to the department's specialized studies, which include the study of 33 scientific courses. A practical program that
includes instruction in the use of radiological techniques and medical imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases as well as dealing safely and professionally with radiological
techniques is included in the scientific program of the Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology in addition to theoretical concepts and sciences.After the student passes
all the courses, the student spends the internship stage in educational hospitals under the supervision of specialized experts in order to obtain the skills and the level that
corresponds to the highest quality standards.

Objectives
1) Retraining of skilled technicians capable of working with all current hospital equipment and other radiation technology-related specialties.
2) Educating and preparing graduates to be able to defend themselves, patients, and others from the risks of ionizing radiation while also helping them to enhance their critical thinking and mental abilities.
3) Developing long-term strategies for conducting more advanced, specialty radiology courses.
4) Increasing national and international collaboration and partnerships with organizations that have similar goals.
5) Participation in, formation of, and organizing of scientific workshops and conferences that help increase the effectiveness of medical professionals in the domains of scientific research and connect it to volunteer work in the community.
