Description

The master's program is one of the scientific programs offered by Sociology Department,  by specialist and qualified staff in sociology. The master's program in Sociology is based on a student-centered approach to the study process that allows the development of theoretical and empirical knowledge, skills and competencies for in-depth analysis of contemporary social processes. It offers an interactive study process based on lectures and discussions to solve problems. The program provides students with knowledge and skills related to contemporary trends in social life, which form a strong foundation for future professional life in any field or job closely related to social development programs. The student is granted a master's degree after completing the preparatory stage requirements by studying eight disciplines during two semesters and completing a master's dissertation.

First: Contribute to the development of scientific research and create an indispensable research base for the progress of the Libyan Arab society

Second:: Preparing and qualifying researchers in the social field.

Third: Preparing and qualifying experts to work in social institutions and international cooperation.

Fourth: Contribute to human civilization in its various aspects.

Fifth: Contribute to the dissemination and rooting of scientific thinking in society to get rid of all traces of illusion, superstition, ignorance, magic, sorcery, extremism and misconceptions.

Entry Reuirements

Obtain a first university degree in sociology or its equivalent

Employer approval for full-time or part-time study workers.

Passing remedial courses in the event of the change of specialization

Submit an original copy of the transcript and the contents of all the courses that the applicant studied at the undergraduate level

Students are accepted according to the priority of their estimates in the first university degree
